- (reh-SEN-tin) A substance being studied in the treatment of some types of cancer. Recentin blocks the growth of new blood vessels needed for tumors to grow and may kill cancer cells. It is a type of angiogenesis inhibitor and a type of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor. Also called AZD2171 and cediranib.
