access barred signal
All > Technology > Telecommunications
- In a communications system, a signal sent in the backward direction to indicate that a call will not be completed because of a call-originator or a call-receiver facility requirement. Note: An access barred signal may occur for many reasons, such as the failure of a closed user group validation check on an incoming calls-barred facility. [After Weik '96]
