The masterpage is the structural content which often surrounds your site. Often it makes up the header and footer of the site and may or may not also contain the left navigation. Typically if you have multiple masterpages these will significantly alter the look of each site they are applied to.

In a data network, the station that is designated by the control station to ensure data transfer to one or more slave stations. Note: A master station controls one or more data links of the data communications network at any given instant. The assignment of master status to a given station is temporary and is controlled by the control station according to the procedures set forth in the operational protocol. Master status is normally conferred upon a station so that it may transmit a message, but a station need not have a message to send to be designated the master station. 2. In navigation systems using precise time dissemination, a station that has the clock used to synchronize the clocks of subordinate stations. 3. In basic mode link control, the data station that has accepted an invitation to ensure a data transfer to one or more slave stations. Note: At a given instant, there can be only one master station on a data link.

(MAS-toh-sy-TOH-muh) A growth or lump of mast cells (a type of white blood cell). Mast cell tumors can involve the skin, subcutaneous tissue, and muscle tissue. Also called mast cell tumor.

A waveguide component having four or more ports, and so arranged that if all ports except one are terminated in the correct impedance, there will be no reflection of energy from the junction when the fourth port is driven by a transmission line having a matching impedance.

The process of comparing a biometric sample against a previously stored template and scoring the level of similarity (difference or hamming distance). A matching contribution is money your employer adds to your salary reduction retirement savings account, such as a 401(k).
It's usually a percentage of the amount you contribute up to a cap that the employer sets, such as 50% of your contribution up to 5% of your salary. The matching amount and any earnings are tax deferred until you withdraw them from your account.
In most plans, employers are not required to match contributions, but may do so if they wish. Employers also determine, within federal guidelines, how long you have to work for the company in order to be fully vested in the matching contributions.
