(min-oh-SY-kleen ...) A substance being studied in the treatment of bacterial infections from catheters (flexible tubes used to deliver fluids into or take fluids from the body). It combines a drug used to treat infections with a drug that prevents blood clots. It is a type of tetracycline antibiotic. Also called M-EDTA.

A son or daughter who is under a state's age of legal competence, which is age 18 in most states. Prior to reaching a state's age of majority (legal competency), a minor cannot legally enter contracts, give legal consent, or otherwise transact business. Minor child is used in the conflict of interest statute (18 U.S.C. § 208) to describe those whose financial interests are attributed to a Government employee. All shareholders whose combined shares represent less than half of the total outstanding shares issued by a corporation have a minority interest in that corporation.
In fact, in many cases, the combined holdings of the minority shareholders are considerably less than half of the total shares.
In another example, in a partnership, any partner who has a smaller percentage than another partner is said to have a minority interest. Under normal circumstances, it is difficult for those with a minority interest to have any real influence on corporate policy.

For an item on a SharePoint site, the minor version number is never zero and is incremented for each new version of an item, unless a major version is explicitly published. When minor versioning is disabled on a SharePoint site, only major version numbers are incremented, and the minor version is always zero.
