Apocrine Metaplasia
Breast Cancer
(ay'-po-krin meh"-tuh-play'-shuh) occurs when tubules of the breast change from their normal epithelium (tissue) to that of an apocrine sweat gland. These cells are elongated and pathologists call these growths "snouts".
