Microsoft Exchange 2000

An Exchange 2000 configuration in which clients access a bank of protocol servers (the front-end) for collaboration information, and these in turn, communicate with the data stores on separate servers (the back-end) to retrieve the physical data. A front-end/back-end configuration allows for a scalable, single point of contact for all Exchange-related data. [Exchange 2000]
