Duragesic

(der-uh-JEE-sik) A drug used to treat moderate to severe pain that is ongoing and cannot be managed with other pain medicines. Duragesic binds to receptors in the central nervous system to decrease pain and improve mood. It is a type of opioid analgesic. Also called fentanyl.
