Early Voting Clerk
Election
The early voting clerk shall conduct the early voting in each election. The clerk is an officer of the election in which the clerk serves. Generally speaking, the clerk has the same duties and authority with respect to early voting as a presiding election judge has with respect to regular voting. The early voting clerk for a county election is the county clerk (or elections administrator), for city elections it is the city secretary, and for other political subdivisions, it is a person appointed by the governing body of the political subdivision who meets certain requirements.
