InfiniBand is the next generation switch fabric architecture that enables increased network bandwidth (10Gbps), redundant connectivity support, shared resources, lower CPU utilization, and use of industry standard (vs. proprietary) components. InfiniBand technology can be used to connect servers with remote storage, networking devices, and other servers.
