Pegasys

(PEH-guh-sis) A drug used to treat hepatitis C infections. It is also being studied in the treatment and prevention of cancer. It is a cytokine that is modified in the laboratory. It is a type of biological response modifier. Also called PEG-interferon alfa-2a.
