Public Adjuster

A person you can hire to help settle a claim with an insurance company. A public adjuster may be hired to handle a complex or difficult loss negotiation. Generally, the public adjuster receives a percentage of the settlement reached. In Utah, a public adjuster must be licensed with the Utah Insurance Department.
