Virtualization

the ability of a CPU to issue more than one thread of the same process into multiple pipelines on the same clock cycle. That is, more than one thread can enter the pipelines at once, but they must all be from the same process. This increases processing efficiency by allowing the execution of available threads when other threads have stalled (such as waiting on memory). It requires thread-level parallelism within a process. Compare to simultaneous multithreading.
