The second ARM research site, it is located in the south Pacific Ocean occupying Manus Island, Nauru Island, and Darwin, Australia. The site features the warmest ocean water, highest atmospheric water vapor contents, and the most convective cloud regimes in the world. It also plays a key role in the El Niño phenomenon.
