Stay or To Stay
Law
The Court can determine that the plaintiff/landlord is entitled to a Writ of recovery of premises and order to vacate but "stay the writ" for a certain number of days. A writ stayed for 10 days, for example, means that the writ can not be issued by the Court Administrator until 10 days have passed.
