Writ of Recovery of Premises and Order to Vacate
Law
This is the order, issued by the Court Administrator when ordered by the Court, directed to the Hennepin County Sheriff to compel someone to vacate certain specifically described premises, based upon the plaintiff’s successful eviction action. When executing a writ, the Sheriff personally serves or posts 24-hours notice at the premises. If the person has not vacated within 24 hours, the Sheriff has the authority and duty to move the person out, by force if necessary. The sheriff charges a fee to the party requesting the writ, the landlord.
