A chromosome division in which the two chromatids of each duplicated chromosome separate longitudinally, prior to being incorporated into two daughter nuclei. Seen at the mitotic-type second division of meiosis; also in somatic mitosis and the non-reductional division of meiosis. The number of chromosomes is the same at the end of the division as at the beginning.
